What is Neurofeedback?
Neurofeedback is a powerful resource you can offer your brain to enable it to function more optimally. With the assistance of EEG sensors and a unique software program, your brain is able to see the ways in which it could be functioning better, and then will work to correct itself.
Neurofeedback is not a treatment for any one particular issue, but a general training for your brain to help it to become more efficient and resilient. When your brain becomes more efficient, many of the problematic symptoms you may be experiencing can become less of an issue, or may disappear all together.

What is a session like?
Neurofeedback sessions take place in a private room, where you can sit in a comfortable recliner and take a breath. There is nothing that you need to do or accomplish, so if you like you can just lay back and rest.
At the start of your session, your neurofeedback specialist will attach sensors to your scalp and ears. The sensors are measuring the electrical activity on your scalp and sending that information to a software program. During your session you will listen to relaxing music which contains feedback that allows your brain to be able to see how it is functioning in real-time. Children and teens may choose to watch a video during their training, to help the time pass more quickly.
Is Neurofeedback Safe?
Yes! Since NeurOptimal® Neurofeedback is non-invasvie and does not require your brain to change, this type of neurofeedback is completely safe. There are times when you may feel tired after a training, just the way your body may feel tired after exercise. As your brain becomes accustomed to functioning in a more efficient way, it becomes more resilient and adapts more quickly.
Neurofeedback is safe enough for even babies and toddlers to use...the only trick is keeping them still enough to keep the sensors on!
